03 · WHAT TOURS MAY INCLUDE
Every independent Australian tour operator puts its own itinerary together. This guide covers what three-day Uluru tours may include, how inclusions differ, and what to read closely on a tour page before you book.

A · WHY INCLUSIONS VARY
Varies
Inclusions vary depending on the independent tour operator and the itinerary you pick. Two tours can both run for three days, usually with two overnight stays where the itinerary specifies them, and still differ in their departure point, pace, accommodation and the sights covered along the way.
Distance plays a big part in this. The Red Centre is remote, and time on the road shapes how much each day can hold. That’s why we suggest reading the inclusions alongside the route. Our planning guide to distances and Red Centre logistics explains why.
B · WHAT A TOUR MAY OFFER
The packages available may include the following. Each tour page shows what that particular operator offers.
Many itineraries centre on time at Uluru with a guide from the operator. How long you spend there, and which parts of the base you visit, depends on the tour. Our Uluru & Kata Tjuta Destination Guide gives a general introduction.
Some tours also take in Kata Tjuta’s rounded domes. Check whether a visit is part of the itinerary, and how it fits around the driving each day, before you settle on a tour.
C · WHERE YOU MAY SLEEP
Overnight stays depend on the itinerary. Some tours may offer camping, while others use different accommodation styles. The choice affects both the experience and the price, along with the operator, your travel dates and seasonal demand.
Camping is one accommodation style that some tours may offer.
